Pet Loss Poetry Inspired by Winnie Rogers

Winnie was our first canine pet and  the devotion and bonding he taught  us has made him very special indeed.  After twelve years of having him  by my side, I knew I would miss him, but I was quite surprised how  much the loss of him  would affect me.  The result is a collection of pet loss poetry and pet loss cards that express some of the many feelings experienced with  the loss of a cherished pet.

May you get some comfort from this  poetry if only to know that you are not alone in grieving the loss of your beloved  pet.

My four legged friend has taken flight
He's gone above to a heavenly light,
He's departed from this earthly sight;
Oh how I miss him with all my might!
